Saturday Emily and I hosted a Diapers and Desserts shower for Kelsey! We went with the tie/bow tie theme for the party and I loved how it turned out. It was all hands on deck to get the house ready, Chloe helped set things out…
and wipe down doors.
We made sure little Levi was dressed appropriately for the party :)
Keeping with the diaper theme, we had everyone leave a note for the parents to be in diapers.
I love this idea, a little note of encouragement/love to get them through one of the MANY diapers changes!
We decorated with bow tie diapers and tie appliqued onezies
The girls got in the spirit with their ruffled tie shirts
The mom-to-be has been craving chocolate milk lately so we made sure we had it on hand, can’t let the guest of honor not have what she wants!
We had a couple of desserts out for everyone to enjoy, oreo bark in the kitchen…
hershey kisses bites, I don’t know their real name so I came up with this, it doesn’t matter anyway cause they are awesome…
and plain hershey kisses
which these two kept sneaking into their mouths before the guests arrived :)
The guests were greeted with a tie wreath. I’m in love with this wreath and plan on using it for fathers day in the future!
We kept the desserts to a few.
Sugar cookie pizzas. Frosting as ‘suauce’ with blueberries, m&m’s, and strawberries.
Marshmallow Pops
Kelsey has a strong love for sushi so we made these really cute rice krispie treat ‘sushi’ for her
Debo picked up these really yummy mini cupcakes from Ally & Eloise, a new bakery in Forest Acres. They were amazing, and will definitely go back again!
The girls loved seeing Ella Bryce, Kelsey’s other niece
Callie LOVES her some Aunt Kelsey, and I know the feeling is mutual!
Me and the mom to be!
Everyone placed their gifts in a bassinet that was lent to me when Callie was born. The girls loved playing with it with their baby dolls before everyone got there
This one definitely enjoyed all the attention she got from a house full of girls
Kelsey was a trouper in letting these two help open her gifts. She stocked up on lots of diapers and wipes
as well as some cute things for Levi!
Kelsey’s sister and sister-in-law, who’s expecting a baby herself!
Party guests with the mom-to-be
All the girls in Kelsey’s life! Little Levi won’t stand a chance with all of these ladies!
We had a blast and so happy she got so many diapers, I feel like you can never have enough!
Now the countdown begins! Only a few weeks away from Levi’s birthday and I cannot wait to meet him! Baby fever here I come!
