Is she really my child?! Or is she so my child she completes everything about me, eating things I don't like?! Either way, she's the best!!

Four years and counting!

We did it! Vaughn and I have officially been married four years! Looking forward to many more :)

Rowland Reunion

This past Friday my dad's family all came in town for a visit. His eldest brother's family was on their way to the beach so we had a quick Rowland Reunion! Mom and Dad hosted the event and everyone had a great time. It was the first time that Grandma meet two of her 9 greatgrand children, and the first time that they were all together. We also had all the cousins, except one, there! Since this was such a once in 15 year event, I decided that it needed to be photgraphed. I asked Chris Viera, Christian Viera Photography, to help us out and they turned out great! Here is a little taste of what he did, he's still working on some of the other shots, but I couldn't wait to share these.

It was great catching up with everyone and we already miss them! Not sure when we'll get to see everyone again, but hopefully it won't be this long again!

MaMaMa

She did it!! She finally said MaMaMa! Callie has been on the "DaDa" kick for a while now and laughed at me when I said "MaMa." But last night while having dinner at my parents house she looked right at me and said "MaMaMa!" Vaughn is still counting her first word as DaDa, but the girl calls everything DaDa. I was just so happy to hear those sweet little noises come out of her mouth!!! Hopefully she'll continue the MaMa in a nice way and won't start screaming them at me anytime soon... :)

Cooking

Callie loves to be in the kitchen with us when we are cooking dinner or eating. So to keep her entertained I gave her her own pot and spoon to "cook" with! She loved all the fun noises the two made and tried to "share" her meal with us! Doc even came by to see if there really was anything in the pot for him to test taste. To his disappointment, there was nothing. Guess he is still left to climbing on the counter to get people food...

Who knew that Lemons were fun to eat?! Callie thinks they are just fantastic and loves to eat them now. Not sure if she really likes the taste or that it's cold on her gums... Oh well. if it keeps her entertained while we are at dinner, fine by me!!

Thank you so much for inviting me to your Art Party! I had a great time eating the Fruit Loop necklace my mom made for me and some strawberries too! I wore myself out crawling around and dancing with everyone. We miss you already and hope you are enjoying your stickers!

9 Months...

and growing big! Yesterday Callie had her 9 month Dr.'s appointment and she did great! As usual she was off the charts in height (97%), 21lbs (80%), and her head circumference is about 60%. She still has no teeth but the doctor said we can go ahead and let her try some soft finger foods which I'm so excited about. I've been making her food ever since she started which has been awesome, but to be honest I'm ready for a change in variety! Callie loves puffs and graham crackers so we now get to try some other finger foods, hopefully she'll love trying new things. We had a little bit of a wait once we got into the room, and if you have a little one you already know, keeping them calm and happy during that wait can be a challenge! After reading two books and singing songs, she was ready to move on.... so out comes my phone. Got a couple of cute pictures, but none with her looking at the camera, oh well. Her next check up will be in October for her one year! It's so crazy to think that!!!! I still think of her as a newborn sometimes, time is just going by too quickly....

Happy Fourth of July!

We had a wonderful 4th! My parent's throw a 4th of July party every year, 26 years in a row! Last year I was preggers, but this year I was so excited to have Callie actually there with us to show off. :) She had a good time playing in the pool with her little friend Logan, getting passed around from one person to the next, and being the life of the party!

Good times had by all. Thanks mom and dad for throwing another great party!! The pig was yummy and the drinks were cold, looking forward to next year!
