Happy 6 Months Liam!

Oh sweet boy, you are the best!  I had so much fun taking your 6 months photos, you were most excited to play in the grass

IMG_5432

You have just started sitting up, which you are loving.  Still not rolling over, but the pediatrician says I shouldn’t worry about :)

IMG_5451

Everyone says you look just like your daddy, and I completely agree!  You are growing so fast right now: 28inches tall (91%) and 18.6lbs (62%) and in 9-12 month clothing.

IMG_5614

You eat just about everything.  Veggies haven’t come easy, you like a little applesauce with them, but you’re coming around to eating them.  In fact, you want to eat whatever we’re eating, so I just puree it up for ya!

IMG_5622

Your sisters sure do love you little guy and are always around to help me take care of you.  Callie has taken to a mother role and Chloe, well Chloe is just a silly thing with you!

IMG_5627IMG_5642

Little guy you have just been a blessing to us and we cannot imagine our life without you.  We love you to pieces and love watching you grow more and more everyday!

Chloe’s Birthday

Chloe’s Birthday fell on a Thursday this year, which ended up being kinda nice.

Last night as a one year old

IMG_6701

Callie woke up that morning with a ‘pink’ eye.  I knew school wouldn’t take her unless we had a Dr.s note so we headed in to get it looked at.  Thankfully it was just a little irritated by something and she was cleared to go to school- yay!

IMG_6705

Chloe and I then headed out to the book store.  I decided that from now on, on their birthday, we’ll buy a book to remember that day.

IMG_6709

This year’s book, and the first book for our new tradition, was ‘Wherever You Are’ and it makes me about cry every time I read it.  I love Nancy Tillman books

IMG_6714

After some more running around, we went to pick up Callie and then headed back over to the pumpkin patch to celebrate with some friends with a picnic!

IMG_6726

We even brought everyone a cupcake to share the fun

IMG_6753

It was about to be nap time so we headed home to meet up with Kelsey and Levi.  They got Chloe some baby doll accessories, and they were a HUGE hit!

IMG_6739

nap time on the other hand was not a huge hit….  No nap for this birthday girl

IMG_6749

Chloe wanted to celebrate that night with her friends and family at Mexican, so that’s what we did!

IMG_6756

Our little girl is definitely loved!

IMG_6757

Sweet girl passed out shortly after we got home.  No nap and a PACT day finally caught up to her!

IMG_6765

Love having this sweet girl grow in front of our eyes, but why does it go by so quickly?  Here’s hoping that her next birthday doesn’t come as quickly as her second :)

Back to school hair cut

Callie’s since of style is like none other.  She knows what she likes, and there is no deviation from that.  Since school is approaching it was time to get her hair trimmed.  The couple of days leading up to her hair cut looked something like this…

IMG_4769IMG_4818

I was more than excited to get it cut if it meant these crazy hair dos would stop.  Before we got to Hair Doodles Callie wanted to take a bath to wash her hair- this way there would be no tangles, don’t you always think of that before you go?

IMG_4826

She loves getting her hair cut by Ms. Kelly.  She asked for it really short, but we agreed that shoulder length was good

IMG_4843

and what surprised me most of all is that she ASKED for a brain in her hair.  This child RARELY lets me touch her hair to put it in a pony tail or bow or anything really.

IMG_4846

I love it and I so wish she would let me do this.  She thought it was pretty special too.

IMG_4850

I’m also loving her shorter locks.  It makes brushing out the hair time so much easier, so much so Callie can basically do it all by herself now… big girl.

May from my phone

Popsicles are a favorite around here

IMG_3099

We enjoyed playing in coolers, which is vaguely reminiscent of last year

IMG_3100

Callie decided that she wanted to send invitations to her dance recital.  Fine by me, I made them so it would take a good 30 minutes of her day to color the ballerina in :)

IMG_3104

Callie got a hold of my phone and took this picture, I love it!  See her rocks and stick?  She loves to give me these and I love collecting them for her

IMG_3110

Mommy got a lunch off and got to attend St. Lawrence Place’s Angel Tea

IMG_3123

Around this house you don’t escape the ‘Hoverband!’

IMG_3126IMG_3131

The girls now love watering our plants, I love that it’s a chore I don’t have to do anymore!

IMG_3149

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo Granger style.  Don’t touch her chip, she means business

IMG_3158

I got this shot of the moon, it was supposed to be extra large this particular night, didn’t think it was all that big, but still neat

IMG_3162

Callie’s school had an end of the year party at a park, of course they went for a popsicle

IMG_3184

we love giving our kisses with a peace attached to it!

IMG_3230

Callie’s growth flower, yeap she’s the tallest in the class

IMG_3232

This love bug is the best!

IMG_3299

The Granger garden in in full effect this summer, this time we’ve added cucumbers and it’s already given us several good ones!

IMG_3327

At Chloe’s 18 month appointment the Dr said we should try and start sitting her on a potty.  Not sure about this, but we’re trying!

IMG_3346

She also thinks it’s pretty awesome to wear big panties like her sister, even if it is over her onezie!

IMG_3348

Vaughn came and surprised Callie one day at pick up and treated us all to lunch, Mac LOVED it!

IMG_3370

Mom, Alex, the girls and I headed out to the Forest Acres Festival.  Love activities like this that can help fill us a Saturday while V works.  Also, funny story with this.  We ran into our pastor while we were there.  Callie showed Rev. Skidmore her purse which has a peace sign on it.  She then tried to show Rev. Skidmore a peace sign but ended up flipping her off- OPS!  Thankfully Rev. S has good sense of humor and thought it was hilarious too!

IMG_3414

After church me and the girls got to visit with cousin Levi

IMG_3434

Levi also got to come over to our house for the first time for grilling out

IMG_3438

Who doesn’t love a fresh watermelon?!

IMG_3453

Smile!

IMG_3456IMG_3458

This month Callie had her first last day of school.  I left with tears in my eyes…

IMG_3463

Callie again got a hold of my phone and took this picture, not sure why though!

IMG_3495

Callie’s first day of summer break was spent in the girl’s new pool, they had a blast!

IMG_3513

Callie had her very first play date with her friend Reese, and she had a blast!

IMG_3537

We also made cupcakes and got to decorate them!  The two big girls did a great job including little sister Chloe in all their activities too, so sweet!

IMG_3541

We recently joined a pool for the first time.  It opened Memorial Day weekend and we got our moneys worth those three days!  The girls are now big pool fans

IMG_3549

and I’m a big fan of the naps that follow!

IMG_3551

Our cucumber plant is producing like crazy now and Vaughn’s favorite summer treat (cucumbers, red wine vinegar, and red pepper flakes) is always at the ready

IMG_3553

We’re headed to the beach the first of June and Chloe’s nose wasn’t looking so great.  So I last minute decided to take her to the doctor’s office to check it out before we left town for a week.  Thank goodness I did.  Poor girl had an ear infection!  We left with an antibiotic perscription, instructions to double up the dosage of baby zyrtec and tylenol.  Also, if it wasn’t clearing up to switch to a different allergy medication completely.  I’m so ready for a cleaned nose Chloe as I’m sure she is!

IMG_3559

That same night we went to celebrate Uncle DR’s birthday at Cantinas.  The girls loved their tacos, and especially the birthday cake

IMG_3561

Happy Birthday Uncle D!

IMG_3563

A GREAT May- now on to June!
