Snow Day 2011

SnOMG 2011 was a blast!  It’s very rare that we get SO much snow to stick in Columbia, but it just happened!  Callie had a blast, as did we playing in the snow.  Snow Day 2011Uncle D and Aunt Kelsey came by to play with us for the day- so happy they live so close so we get to see them on fun days!

IMG_3767 Doc also loved the snowIMG_3772 IMG_3778 Front of the houseIMG_3795 IMG_3800Chloe came out to play for a minute, she wasn’t sure what to think IMG_3820

I love when we get a good snow, but I’m always happy to see it melt away- I live in the south for a reason!  Once a year is good enough for me

Happy New Years!

New Year’s Eve we headed up to Charlotte, NC to watch the Clemson Tigers play in their bowl game and bring in the new year with our good friends Travis and Emily!  Although the Tigers lost, we had a great time with great company.

During our trip, I gave a little thought about what my New Year’s resolution would be and here are a couple!

1. Take video’s of the girls.  I feel that I’m doing good with pictures, but I would love to get more videos!  I’ll also have to learn how to post on the blog, but I need to take them first :)

2. Workout!  Yes, probably just like everyone else’s resolution, it’s time to get back in the gym.  My goal is to be that mom on the beach that doesn’t look like she’s had two babies.

3. Look into starting my own business.  When I left the Chamber I had a business idea that I thought would be fun.  Since leaving and having Chloe, I haven’t been able to give it much thought, but I feel that I’m ready to do it!

4. Use my sewing machine for, drum roll, sewing!  I haven’t even used that aspect of my machine since I bought it 6 months ago.  I’ve only been using the monogramming portion of it, so I’m excited to sew!

I feel that those resolutions are pretty good ones, and achievable!  Hope you are off to a great start to your new year as we have!

Kelsey and DR’s Wedding

Back in November, my brother-in-law got married to a wonderful girl- Kelsey!  We had an amazing weekend of fun, so much so I didn’t take a. single. picture.  Thankfully they had an amazing photographer that caught all the fun!  Warning, picture overload, but they are pretty amazing and had to share…

Groomsmen:  Big V and Vaughn served as DR’s BestmenGranger Wedding-91 The Granger BoysGranger Wedding-111The BridesmaidsGranger Wedding-120

I had to have LOTS of help that weekend, seeing that Vaughn and I were both in the wedding.  My mom and Debo were amazing, could not have done it without them!!Granger Wedding-215We, the bridesmaids, were taking pictures outside when Callie and McKenna (the other flower girl and Kelsey’s new niece) came out to join in the picture taking.  I turned around to see Callie walking towards us and I lost it.  She was the cutest thing I’d ever seen and I couldn’t help but get emotional.  Also, the dress Callie is wearing happens to be one of the dresses that was worn by one of my flower girls, which made me even more sentimental about the whole weekend!Granger Wedding-144 Granger Wedding-152 Granger Wedding-153 Granger Wedding-154I love this picture of the two of us!  She had just fallen down and I was giving her a hug to make her feel better. You can even see the little tear in her right eye.  I love that I can make this sweet girl better with just a hugGranger Wedding-173Callie and Me Granger Wedding-174 Sisters!  I finally have sisters!  From left to right: Whitney- Kelsey’s sister-in-law; Kelsey; Kristy- Kelsey’s Sister; MeGranger Wedding-176  We got done taking pictures and it was time for the two to get married!  I’ve always loved seeing the flower girl walk down the aisle, but when it’s your own, it’s amazing!Granger Wedding-286Granger Wedding-290The plan was for McKenna to drop Callie off by my mom who was sitting by the aisle so she could sit during the wedding and be occupied.  However, when McKenna walked up, Mac thought she should too!  Thankfully DR and Kristy stepped in and got her to her to the right spot  Granger Wedding-294Here comes the bride!Granger Wedding-299 After the vows, Callie went over to congratulate the newlyweds Granger Wedding-357Our new extended family!Granger Wedding-401The Grangers!Granger Wedding-407Being sillyGranger Wedding-424Party Time!  Callie had a BLAST at the rehearsal, she danced all night long- literally-  and cried when it was time for her to go Granger Wedding-503She loved dancing so much, that when DR and Kelsey were having their first dance, she thought she should join in on the fun- spotlight stealer Granger Wedding-534 Granger Wedding-594 Family picture!  Granger Wedding-630The groomsmen planned a “dance” of sorts and this was Vaughn doing his part.  The dance was hilarious, and we laugh each time we think about it- were hoping to up load video of it soon! Granger Wedding-716Not sure what’s going on here, but thought it was funnyGranger Wedding-750 Granger Wedding-751 Granger Wedding-752Love this picture of the two of us, so much I gave Vaughn a copy for Christmas for his officeGranger Wedding-806Granger Wedding-814 And they’re off!  In true Kelsey form, having a back of candy in her handGranger Wedding-887

Were so lucky that DR picked such an amazing wife!  We love Kelsey and thankful for her being a part of our family.  My girls LOVE her and I know that love is reciprocated.  We’re also excited that they only live a couple of miles down the street so we get lots of visits with them!
