Easter Day
We woke up Easter morning to see that the Easter Bunny had come!
The girls were supper excited to see all the goodies he brought to them!
We finished getting ready then headed out to church. We love going to the early service at church, and this day was no exception to that. After church we were having our parents and siblings over for our traditional Easter brunch at our house. A quick family photo before we (Vaughn) changed :)
Then the girls saw G-Kat, Papa and Alex, photo op over!
After a bite to eat with everyone, it was egg huntin time!
Love this picture! Mom, me and the girls!
Grandparents
It was time to say goodbye to everyone and take naps. Chloe wasn’t ready to tell Uncle DR, so sweet
After a great nap, for everyone, V and Callie went out and got up a slip and slide. Yes, the water was really cold, so no slipping and sliding were really had. But it was great entertainment for a bit!
We ended our day with a cookout with some great friends. It was just a wonderful Sunday that I could do over and over again!

Class Easter Party
Callie’s class had their Easter party the Thursday before Spring Break. I was happy to sign up to help (see a trend here?)! The setting was festive, but the kids were a little too quite for the cupcakes and egg hunt that was about to start.
It didn’t take long for the sugar rush. I don’t think a single kid ate more than one bite of fruit…
and just like that it was circle time. Head, shoulders, knees and toes it a great way to work out the sugar giggles!
A little play time with “my bestest friend” Ainsley
Then it was hunting time. I’m so impressed Mrs. Dawne was able to get them to stay in the line for as long as she did. There is a reason that she is a kindergarten teacher and I’m not.
Ready. Set. Go!!
Lots of eggs were found by everyone. My favorite part about this egg hunt though, no one goes empty handed. After the egg hunt the teachers collected back the bags and then distributed them evenly. Nice.
Callie now thinks eggs must have some type of goody in them. Not surprised that the other day I found her stamping Chloe’s face with something she got in the egg. Note to self- go through the eggs next year!

Church Easter Egg Hunt
We were getting into the Easter spirit and headed out to our church Easter egg hunt. I was a little reluctant to head out when Callie looked like this…
But one to not let a little meltdown get in the way, we headed out. Once we got there it was smooth sailing. The girls hit up the coloring station,
the bunny hop,
and face painting!
Then it was time for the big hunt. Callie knew exactly what to do this year, find the egg and immediately open it to see the goodies!
Chloe on the other hand, would find one and put it in the basket and it would immediately fall out when she started walking.
Callie kept hers secured!
They tried to get a group shot of the little ones, but with this age group it’s a little more difficult
I did capture this pic of the girls and its now one of my favorites. Their faces, the tattoo’s, and the lack of eggs in Chloe’s basket, instant classic.
The next day Callie had an egg hunt at school, she was so excited to find more candy with her friends!
